Filming in Jonesport, Maine last summer was a beautiful experience. The quiet small town was the perfect place to film 'Beyond Us" and I am so grateful for all who I've met there.
It was about an hour away from some bigger towns, which made it extremely necessary to plan ahead for our catering crew and other resources needed on-set. We gladly found a few local Mainers to also be in the film (with much talent!), which helped the film feel like a correct representation for the area at this time.
As we arrived to Jonesport, I was featured in the local newspaper here, which was a nice surprise. Jonesport has recently gotten a few short film productions by film students and it makes sense why. The town is quiet and incredibly hospitable. I look forward to visiting this town again for another film someday!
