A New York Autumn

For those who don't know, I've found myself back on the east coast for a New York Autumn.

I'm so grateful and happy for the opportunities that have come my way. The cool mornings and watching the colors begin to shift in my temporary position brings me a lot of joy. A warm sweater and people with creative lives ready for introspection is a beautiful thing.

This last week, in a special workshop, I danced like no one was watching for the first time in a long time and it reminded me of the summers in NYC where I would blister the bottom of my feet on the concrete, dancing to someone playing one of those public pianos. "Keep going, kid." They would say.

So anyway, perhaps the best dancing comes without a fear of rejection or judgement. That feeling is all too common and can keep us from feeling beautiful. When was the last time you danced? When was the last time you danced like no one was watching? Sometimes the simplest things can bring us the greatest joy.
